Bully Bullfrog – Character design
July 10th, 2009The main character of my next animated short is a toad. A lazy, fat bad guy.
These are different character designs I drew for this project.
This is a frog, not a toad! Almost cute… not what I need.
It’s the toad that has to look lazy, not the animator. This one is too graphical, I had to work more on its body masses.
This one looks good, but it somehow reminds me of a wiser animal. I can do better.
Sure this one looks fat and lazy! But it doesn’t look that harmful, nor filthy. Next!
Whoa, an evil reptile! I am going for a funny animation, maybe I’ll save this for my next monsters movie.
Wacky and greasy, I like it. Maybe I’ll want to make it fatter.
This is a variation of the last one. I like the idea of having a character that looks lazy all the time, but can also turn evil when it’s lunch time.
